Agreement with MJL Consultants, Inc. to amend its existing contract Resolution # 21.5, BOE Approval 3/17/2021 BOCS Approval 4/1/2021 to provide support for the teachers and administrators at Roosevelt High School-ECS with the collaboration under the Smart Scholars Grant for professional development with workshops that will address the 21ST Century Super Skills for students. Assessments will be a particular focus; constructive and instructive feedback cycles; self-assessment and reflection; small groups to develop master strategies; world of work learning experiences and presentations that will be practiced in the classroom. This Amendment represents an increase of $17,505.00. The total new contract amount will be $22,505.00. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with MJL Consultants Inc., to purchase additional services to support Roosevelt High School by providing teachers and administrators with professional development prior to delivering workshops on how to promote understanding of how affective skills, including the 4 Cs (communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity) might be incorporated into a classroom curriculum for the 2020-2021 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with MJL Consultants Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with MJL Consultants Inc. to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with MJL Consultants, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $17,505.00. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office. |
