WHEREAS, The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has awarded Yonkers City School District a grant for the RECOVS: Recover from COVID School Program to Support Learning Loss program in the total of $2,000,000,
WHEREAS, The RECOVS program aims to support the District in addressing the impact on students caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in the area of Learning loss. This program aims to enhance the district’s MTSS structures and tiered supports in multiple content areas in order to support students through needed academic interventions, and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education hereby accepts the award of $2,000,000 to Yonkers Public Schools. |
