Rationale:
|
The District has a need for On-Call “Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services” for the maintenance and improvement of its physical plant.
The original awards were authorized to the said vendors under Res 18.15 dated July 21, 2021 for an amount not to exceed $500,000.00 each, for a period of twenty-four-month contract.
The Contracts have an option to renew for 2, 12-month period. This resolution is to invoke the first of the two extensions extending the terms, with no increase to the funding limit, for the Capital funded contract for On-Call “Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services” to:
1. Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists and Land Surveyors, D.P.C. - Contract No.2022-0000364.
2. Advance Testing Company, Inc. - Contract No.2022-00000363. |

|
Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: The District has a need for On-Call “Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services” for the maintenance and improvement of its physical plant, and
WHEREAS: Via Res 18.15 dated July 21, 2021, the Board of Trustees awarded contracts to Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists and Land Surveyors, D.P.C. Contract No.2022-0000364, and Advance Testing Company, Inc. Contract No.2022-00000363, for an amount not to exceed $500,000 each, for a period of twenty-four-month contract.
WHEREAS: The Contracts have an option to renew for 2, 12-month period. This resolution is to invoke the first of the two extensions extending the terms, with no increase to the funding limit, for the capital funded Contract for On-Call “Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services” to:
1. Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists and Land Surveyors, D.P.C. - Contract No.2022-0000364.
2. Advance Testing Company, Inc. - Contract No.2022-00000363.
WHEREAS: Work under this contract shall be done on an as needed District directed basis and paid at rates negotiated on a project by project basis, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to extend by 365 calendar days, with no increase to the funding limit, of the listed contracts for On-Call “Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services” for the School Facilities Management Department with the firms selected via Public RFP 435. |
