Scope: To authorize Amendment 1 to Service Contract No. 2024-0156 “Annual School Facilities Fire Safety Inspections and Fire Prevention Training”, to Code Compliance Inspections, Inc., in the amount of $44,400.00 and 365 calendar days.
This extension is for the first of four contractually available annual extensions.
The New York State Education Department requires public schools to complete these inspections and trainings on an 11-month interval, although it is referred to as the “Annual” Fire Safety Inspection and applies to all 50 buildings that are owned, operated or leased by Yonkers Public Schools. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS via Resolution 17.8, dated May 17, 2023, Contract No. 2024-0156, “Annual School Facilities Fire Safety Inspections and Fire Prevention Training”, was awarded to Code Compliance Inspections, Inc., for $44,400.00 and 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS bid specifications provide for four annual extensions by the mutual consent of both parties under the same terms and conditions of the original contract, and
WHEREAS the administration recommends the District invoke this renewal clause and renew the contract for the first time for another 365 calendar days and $44,400.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to extend Contract No. 2024-0156, “Annual School Facilities Fire Safety Inspections and Fire Prevention Training”, to Code Compliance Inspections, Inc., increasing the term to 730 calendar days and the total amount to $88,800.00. |
