WHEREAS:
The New York State School Boards Association's Everett R. Dyer Award for Distinguished School Board Service is presented annually to a current or former school board member, who, in the judgment of the NYSSBA Awards Committee, should be recognized for outstanding contributions to public education and children , and
WHEREAS:
The quality and quantity of the candidate’s contribution to public education is widely recognized and acknowledged, and
WHEREAS:
The extent of the candidate’s recognition will inspire other school board members to make similar or even greater contributions,
Motion made by Dr. Rosalba Corrado DelVecchio, seconded by Trustee Sheila Greenwald:
RESOLVED
That the Board of Education of the Yonkers School District hereby nominates Rev. Steve Lopez of the Yonkers Board of Education for the 2021 Everett R. Dyer Award for Distinguished School Board Service. |
