The North Star Project
Term: September 2024-August 2025 (no change to term)
Amount: $73,000
Scope: Amendment #1 to Resolution 8.3 (Contract# 2025-00000347 BOE approved 8-21-24 BOCS approved 8-27-2024) to increase the contract by $73,000 for a grand total of $98,000. The North Star Project will continue to provide consulting services for different Yonkers Public Schools initiatives including:
• Professional Development Workshops
• S.I.F.E. Saturday Program
• Yonkers My Sister’s Keeper Yonkers Program
• The Solidarity Project @ Hermanas Mirabal Community School - Students as Agents of Social Change/Social Justice-Based Initiative |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with The North Star Project to provide various consulting services for Yonkers Public Schools for the 2024-2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with The North Star Project a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with The North Star Project to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with The North Star Project at a cost not to exceed $98,000.00. |
