Rationale:
|
Capital Funds assignment for CIP 10911, “Installation of bleachers at Yonkers Middle High School” to Nickerson Corporation for $320,000 for a term of 365 calendar days.
Via Resolution 23.19, April 24, 2021 the Board of Trustees had accepted to proceed with the New York State Economic Development Assistance Program (NYS EDAP) grants for the installation of bleachers at YMHS.
This resolution is to assign funding to the above resolution.
Funding was contingent on the approval of the grant by DASNY. As the final approval of the grant will take 3- 6 months, in order to make the bleachers available by this school year, it is needed that the project is funded through Capital Funds, and later reimbursed from the DASNY grant.
This grant is to remove the existing, and to furnish & install new bleachers and perform associated work at a cost of $320,000.00
Procurement is through a piggyback onto Hussey’s Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing contract #091719- HSC. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Resolution 23.19 dated April 24, 2021 the Board of Trustees had authorized the administration to accept the $500,000.00 New York State Economic Development Assistance Program (NYS EDAP) grants (Grant) for the installation of bleachers and locker room lockers at YMHS, and
WHEREAS: Said resolution further authorized the award for this work to Nickerson Corporation under Sourcewell purchasing cooperative in the amount of $320,000 for the bleachers and $180,000 for the lockers, and
WHEREAS: funding for the Grant is through a reimbursement of actual expenditures funds from capital bonds are to be made available to complete the work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the capital bond funds are to be made available to complete the work as described under Resolution 23.19 dated April 24, 2021 for CIP 10911, “Installation of bleachers at Yonkers Middle High School” to Nickerson Corporation for $320,000 for a term of 365 calendar days. |
