The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has awarded Yonkers City School District a grant for the New York State Pathway in Technology Early College High School Program (NYS P-TECH) for Barack Obama School. Time Period: July 1, 2023 – Jun 30, 2030

Year 1 (7/1/23 – 6/30/24) $150,000
Year 2 (7/1/24 – 6/30/25) $250,000
Year 3 (7/1/25 – 6/30/26) $350,000
Year 4 (7/1/26 – 6/30/27) $450,000

Resolution
WHEREAS, The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has awarded Yonkers City School District a grant for the New York State Pathway in Technology Early College High School Program (NYS P-TECH) in the total of $2,700,000,

WHEREAS, The P-Tech program combines high school, college, and career training, providing students with a 6-year comprehensive educational experience that prepares them for future employment opportunities. In addition to their high school diplomas, the students also earn an Associate’s degree from Westchester Community College at the completion of the program, and,


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education hereby accepts the award of $2,700,000 to Yonkers Public Schools.
