This resolution is to grant the administration the authority to enter into contract as described above. In compliance with General municipal Law 103, this contract was let for public and bids were opened and read aloud in public on July 10, 2020. Bids were examined and all due diligence observed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. A total of 5 bids were received. The first apparent low bidder at $151,880.00, Sky Rise Inc., informed the District that it had made a mistake in their calculations and were permitted to withdraw their bid. The responsive low bids ranged from $298,100 up to $546,704.00 with an average bid of $435,951.00. The work was designed by Fuller and D’ Angelo P.C and was estimated to be approximately $ 350,000.00. After interviewing and confirming that they understood the scope of work, bids were found to be correct, Fuller and D’ Angelo P.C and Schools Facilities Management are recommending the award of the subject contract to Paladino Concrete Creations Corp. The project includes but is not limited to the reconstruction of the east entrance stair-bridge, replacement of the adjacent playground safety surfacing and new precast concrete caps at select piers along the boundary wall. |
