Scope: Westchester Jewish Community Services will provide social emotional learning groups to students at the Ella Fitzgerald Academy with an emphasis on teaching students DBT, cultural competency, and organizational skills. The learning groups will focus on mindfulness, interpersonal skills, anxiety management and improved self-esteem. WJCS will provide two sessions per week after school for 18 weeks. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend an existing a contract with WJCS to purchase additional consulting services to support students at the Ella Fitzgerald Academy by providing social emotional learning groups with a focus on mindfulness, interpersonal skills, anxiety management and improved self-esteem for the 2023-2024 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Westchester Jewish Community Services a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing an agreement with Westchester Jewish Community Services to provide additional services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Westchester Jewish Community Services for an additional of $30,000.00 and a total cost not to exceed $33,400.00
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office. |
