Rationale:
|
This resolution is to grant the administration the authority to enter into contract as described above. In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, this contract was let for public and bids were opened in public and read aloud on June 26, 2020. Four (4) bids were opened, examined and all due diligence observed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
This work is to provide remote, programmable intensity control for the site lighting in the new parking lots.
After interviewing the apparent low bidder and confirming that they understood the scope of work, bids were found to be correct. Commerce Electrical Corp was determined to be the lowest responsible bidder. The work was designed by G.P.I. Engineering and who estimated the work at $55,000. |

|
Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on June 26, 2020 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. 6507 ELECTRICAL Work for the “Site Lighting work” Project No. 10732 at the School 30, and
WHEREAS: such bids were duly examined and as a result of this examination of the bids submitted, the administration has determined that Commerce Electrical Corp, is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $ 22,000.00
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that Bid No. 6507 ELECTRICAL work, Contract for the “Site Lighting work” Project No. 10732 at the School 30, to Commerce Electrical Corp, 23-86 BQE West Astoria, NY 11103 in an amount not to exceed $22,000.00 for a term of 346 calendar days. |
