Term: 365 calendar days
Amount: $68,255.00
Scope: To authorize the award of the annual general fund service contract for District-wide, “Integrated Pest Management Services” to Parkway Exterminating Company (dba Parkway Pest Services) for $68,255.00 and a term of 365 calendar days.

RFB -7144 was let for public bid in compliance with General Municipal Law 103. Bids were opened in public and read aloud on May 17, 2024. A total of seven (7) bids were received.

The first 2 apparent low bidders, Pied Piper Pest Control and Pestech Pest Solutions withdrew their bids, while the 3rd low bidder, United States Pest Service LLC was disqualified since the company did not meet the required contract requirements.

Parkway Pest Services has extensive positive experience with the District consistently wining this bid and agreeing to extensions.

IPM is a process for managing, preventing, and suppressing pests with minimal impact on human health, the environment, and non-target organisms.

Resolution
WHEREAS RFB -7144, “Integrated Pest Management Services” was let for public bid in compliance with General Municipal Law 103, and

WHEREAS seven bids were received and were opened in public and read aloud on May 17, 2024, and

WHEREAS the first 2 apparent low bidders withdrew their bids, and the third low bidder was disqualified for failing to meet contract requirements, and

WHEREAS as a result of an examination of the bids submitted, the administration determined that Parkway Exterminating Company (dba Parkway Pest Services) was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $68,255.00

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award RFB -7144 “Integrated Pest Management Services” be awarded to Parkway Exterminating Company (dba Parkway Pest Services) for an amount not to exceed $68,255.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
