Rationale:
Term: Various Grant Ending Dates Amount: Total amount should not exceed the total dollar amount of $304,527 Scope: A competitive bid, RFB-7393 for the Purchase of a variety of Information Technology hardware and technology products manufactured by Promethean, Hewlett Packard, TrippLite, and Texas Instruments, or Yonkers approved alternatives, for the Yonkers Public Schools was released on 2/7/2025 with a due date of 2/28/2025. A total of 4 bids were received and an award is being made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Y&S Technologies, a certified MWBE with New York State in the not-to-exceed amount of $304,527 who meets all the requirements of the bid and the grant. The purchase of these technology supplies is aligned with the narratives of the Office of School Leadership Grants. The specific items required include laptops, Chromebooks, laptop carts, Promethean boards with stands, and additional technology supplies. These materials are essential for supporting the New York State Pathways in Early College High Schools (P-Tech), the Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention program, and the NYSED Smart Scholars programs across several educational institutions, including Charles E. Gorton High School, Roosevelt High School Early College Studies, Saunders Trades and Technical School, Riverside High School, and the Barack Obama School for Social Justice. These items are crucial for the effective operation of the programs. The selected vendor must be a certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) in New York State.

Resolution
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Y&S Technologies to purchase technology supplies including laptops, Chromebooks, laptop carts, and Promethean boards. These items support the New York State Pathways in Early College High Schools (P-Tech), the Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention program, and NYSED Smart Scholars programs at institutions like Charles E. Gorton High School, Roosevelt High School Early College Studies, Saunders Trades and Technical School, Riverside High School, and the Barack Obama School for Social Justice for the 2024-2025 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Y&S Technologies a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Y&S Technologies to purchase these items, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Y&S Technologies at a cost not to exceed $304,527.
