Rationale:
|
This is to purchase one (1) 2024 Ford F450 XL lift gate dump truck for a total of $78,796.50 and is to be completed within 365 days.
This is a direct replacement for a current fleet vehicle that is beyond its useful life (14+ years of service). The fleet number will not be increased.
Purchase will be funded from the Equipment Capital Bond sold in February 2021. The item listed above is to be procured from Van Bortel Ford in Rochester NY by piggybacking off the Onondaga County Vehicle Purchase Contract ONGOV-106-19 2024. This vehicle will be a one to one swap with an older vehicle that is beyond its useful life. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: The School Facilities Management Department needs one (1) new replacement rack body vehicle for use by our Maintenance Department, and
WHEREAS: The vehicle currently used in the daily responsibilities throughout the District is no longer economically serviceable; it will be taken out of service and auctioned to the public, and
WHEREAS: One (1) such vehicle is available for purchase in accordance with General Municipal Law by using Onondaga County Vehicle Purchase Contract ONGOV-106-19 2024 from Van Bortel Ford for a total amount of $78,796.50 and a term of 365 calendar days.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to award the one (1) vehicle listed above to Van Bortel Ford, Inc. 71 Marsh Road, East Rochester, New York 14445 via piggybacking onto Onondaga County Vehicle Purchase Contract ONGOV-106-19 2024 for a total amount of $78,796.50 and is to be completed within 365 days. |
