Purity Laboratories Inc. Term: No change Amount: $3,317.00 Scope: Amendment 1 to authorize Change Order 1 to Service Contract No. 2024-0521 “Chemical Treatment and Cooling Tower Maintenance Program” with Purity Laboratories Inc. The following three schools need to be added to the contract: Charles E. Gorton High School, Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School, and Robert Halmi Sr. Academy of Film and Televison. This will cover the treatment of boiler, feed, condensate, chilled water, condenser and closed loop hot water systems. This treatment is to limit corrosion, freeze ups and bacterial growth in the above systems. |

WHEREAS via Resolution 15.13 dated February 28, 2024, the Board of Education authorized the award of Service Contract No. 2024-0521 “Chemical Treatment and Cooling Tower Maintenance Program” with Purity Laboratories Inc., in the amount of $29,625.65 for a term of 365 calendar days, and WHEREAS Amendment 1 is recommended to authorize Change Order 1 to include three additional schools to the contract. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue Amendment 1 under Service Contract No. 2024-0521 “Chemical Treatment and Cooling Tower Maintenance Program” with Purity Laboratories Inc., increasing the contract amount from $29,625.65 to $32,942.65 with no change in term. |
