Scope: From time-to-time high ceilings in places of assembly (auditoriums, gyms, and cafeterias) within our facilities are in need of repair and painting. At the Barack Obama School for Social Justice the ceiling in the auditorium has fallen into disrepair. In order for District forces to make the necessary repairs and paint, a 50’x60’x24’ high “Dancefloor” type scaffold must be erected to safely perform the work at 35’ above grade.
Overview:
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on November 17, 2023. One (1) bid was received and reviewed. The bid was duly examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Arsenal Scaffolding, Inc., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. |

|
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a rental contract with Arsenal Scaffolding to rent a 50’x60’x24’ high “Dancefloor” type scaffolding, and
WHEREAS from time-to-time high ceilings in places of assembly (auditoriums, gyms, and cafeterias) within our facilities are in need of repair and painting, and
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into a rental agreement with Arsenal Scaffolding Inc., to provide a 50’x60’x24’ high “Dancefloor” type scaffolding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Arsenal Scaffolding Inc., 95 Jersey Street, West Babylon, NY 11704 at a cost not to exceed $68,177.00 for 365 calendar days. |
