Scope: To authorize Amendment 5 to Service Contract No. 2022-0188 "Annual On-Call Electrical Services", to Scotty Electric Corp., for $97,070.00 and 365 calendar days.
This extension is for the third of five contractually available annual extensions.
This is a general fund annual service contract for electrical work that is beyond in-house capabilities. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS via Resolution 18.5 dated July 21, 2021, Contract 2022-0188, "Annual On-Call Electrical Services" was awarded to Scotty Electric Corp., in the amount of $97,070.00 for 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS the City of Yonkers increased this contract amount using their funds by adding $16,989.40, increasing the contract amount to $114,059.40, and
WHEREAS via Resolution 20.31, dated June 14, 2022, the Board authorized the first of five available contract extensions, increasing the contract term to 730 calendar days and the amount to $211,129.40, and
WHEREAS via Resolution 19.28 dated June 21, 2023, the Board authorized the second of five available contract extensions, increasing the contract term to 1,095 calendar days and the amount to $308,199.40, and
WHEREAS via Resolution 15.11 dated September 20, 2023, the Board authorized the fourth amendment (Change Order #2) to install CAT 6 cables at locations inside the gyms at: Saunders Trades and Technical High School, Lincoln High School, Yonkers Middle High School, Cross Hill Academy, Yonkers Montessori Academy, Roosevelt High School-Early College Studies and Barack Obama School for Social Justice, for a total of $43,264.70, increasing the contract amount to $351,464.10 with no change in term, and
WHEREAS bid specifications provide for five annual extensions by the mutual consent of both parties under the same terms and conditions of the original contract, and
WHEREAS the administration recommends the District invoke this renewal clause and renew the contract for the third time for another 365 calendar days in the amount of $97,070.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to extend Contract 2022-0188, "Annual On-Call Electrical Services" with Scotty Electric Corp., increasing the term to 1,460 calendar days and the total amount to $448,534.10. |
