New York State legislation known as Safe Schools Against Violence in Education Act (S.A.V.E), Chapter 181 of the laws of 2000 requires the annual review and adoption of an Emergency Response Plan/Districtwide Safety Plan. Whereas a public hearing was held by the Yonkers Board of Education on June 21, 2023 and the required thirty-day period has expired. Whereas the Board of Education wishes to adopt the 2023-2024 Emergency Response Plan/Districtwide School Safety Plan. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education hereby adopts the 2023-2024 Emergency Response Plan/Districtwide School Safety Plan. |
