Police Athletic League Term: June 30, 2022 Amount: $13,000.00 Scope: The Program is a temporary academic program that supports civic engagement designed to assist the School District in supporting the student population and has been established to assist in supporting students who are alleged to have committed a violation of the Code of Conduct in their respective school and have been placed on an extended suspension after a Superintendents Hearing pursuant to Education Law §3214. The Program serves School District students enrolled in eighth through twelfth grade. |

Resolution

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Police Athletic League to support the Program for External Academic and Civic Engagement for the 2021-2022 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Police Athletic League a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Police Athletic League to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Police Athletic League at a cost not to exceed $ 13,000.00. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office. |
