Resolution
|
WHEREAS the lowest bidder, Northrock Enterprises LLC, withdrew their bid due to incorrect pricing, and
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with the 2nd lowest responsible bidder, Capuano Home Appliance Sales, Inc to purchase three hundred and fifty (350) Frigidaire window/portable air conditioners, and
WHEREAS Yonkers Public Schools desires to create air-conditioned instructional space throughout the District, on an as-needed basis, in the most cost-effective manner, and
WHEREAS the purchase and future installation of 350 window/portable air conditioning units throughout the District, on an as-needed basis, is a significant part of this effectiveness, and
WHEREAS these units are available for purchase by Capuano Home Appliance Sales, Inc in accordance with General Municipal Law, through a public bid RFB-7341 of which Capuano Home Appliance Sales, Inc was the second lowest responsible bidder, with a bid of $131,250.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue a Non-CIP fund purchase order to Capuano Home Appliance Sales, Inc in the amount of $131,250.00 for a term of 365 calendar days. |
