Scope: The District desires to maintain and clean its buildings in the most effective manner, and the Karcher Chariot Scrubber machines have proven to be a significant part of this effectiveness. These new machines are replacing irreparable units which will be used for parts or otherwise disposed per current practice.
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on June 14, 2024. Eleven (11) bids were received and reviewed. The bids were duly examined and all due diligence observed. Out of the 11 bids received, only 3 vendors quoted the specified Karcher Chariot, the other 8 vendors quoted only alternatives. Out of the three vendors that quoted the Karcher Chariot Ocean Janitorial is the most responsive and responsible bidder. The highest bid was $51,888.56. |

|
WHEREAS the District desires to maintain and clean its buildings in the most effective manner, and
WHEREAS the Karcher Chariot scrubber machines have proven to be a significant part of this effectiveness, and
WHEREAS bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on June 14, 2024 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. RFB-7175 “Purchase of (3) Karcher Chariot; or Yonkers approved equal, floor scrubbing machines”, and
WHEREAS such bids were duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Ocean Janitorial Supply Inc. is the most responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $26,536.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award Bid No. RFB-7175 to Ocean Janitorial Supply Inc., in the amount of $26,536.00 for 365 calendar days. |
