Rationale:
|
By Resolution 18.11 dated May 18, 2022 the Board of Education authorized PO 2023-0465 for the provision of $150,000.00 to City of Yonkers Contract 2022-0777 “2022 Public Right of Way Improvements” for the District to “piggyback” onto their contract to make site improvements throughout the District.
This is to provide an additional $200,000 in funds to increase the scope of work.
The City DPW awarded Paladino Concrete Creations Corp. a $1million contract to perform city wide right of way improvements in April of 2022.
Work to include new and/or replace site features such as sidewalks, curbs, and pavements. |

|
Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: The City of Yonkers has a standing duly authorized and procured contract for the performance of this work under bid unit prices, and
WHEREAS: via Resolution 18.11 dated May 18, 2022 the Board of Education authorized PO 2023-0465 for the provision of $150,000.00 to City of Yonkers Contract 2022-0777 “2022 Public Right of Way Improvements” to provide District directed repairs to concrete sidewalks and other site features for the summer of 2022, and
WHEREAS: The District needs further important safety related site improvements at various schools, and
WHEREAS: General funds in the amount of $200,000.00 is to be provided by the District to amend this purchase order to include additional District work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education provide an additional $200,000.00 in general funds to PO 2023-0465 for the City of Yonkers to perform site improvements on behalf of the Board at District locations under COY contract 2022-0777 increasing PO 2023-0465 from $150,000.00 to $350,000.00 |
