Rationale:
|
Amendment 1 for CIP 10895 “District Wide High Tech Security Upgrades”, to Fuller & D’Angelo P.C., (F&D) for $77,700.00 increasing the contract total to $307,372.00 with no change to the term.
By Resolution 16.2 dated May 20, 2020 awarded the design work for 10895 “District Wide High Tech Security Upgrades” at 20 schools for $229,672.00. This took the design up to the schematic design level. The scope of work at each building has been determined and so have the plans, specifications and estimate for participation in the Smart Schools Bond Act plan. This was done under the their standing requirements contract with the District, 2020-0628.
This resolution is to compete the design work including construction documents, permitting, and bidding & construction support for four schools only; Roosevelt, YMHS, Cross Hill, and School 27 at the cost of $77,700.00 (includes $10,000 District directed reimbursable expenses). It is anticipated that these will be in construction the summer of 2022. SSBA funds will not be applied to these schools. They are eligible for State aid, only.
The current estimated cost of the 20 schools is $14 million. The portion eligible for SSBA reimbursement is approximately $6.7 million. The remaining $7.3 million, would be eligible for conventional SED building aid at 74.01%. The overall local share will be roughly $1.9 million. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: Via Resolution 16.5 dated May 20, 2020, the Board of Education assigned Fuller and D’Angleo Architects Architectural/Engineering Services Task 10895 “District Wide High Tech Security Upgrades”, to Fuller & D’Angelo P.C up to schematic design for 20 schools in the District Wide High Tech Security Upgrades, and
WHEREAS: it is in the best interest of the District at this time to fund the completion of the designs at four schools: Roosevelt, YMHS, Cross Hill, and School 27 at the cost of $77,700.00 with no change in term.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to Amend the existing assignment to Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners, Road 45 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, New York 10523, to the task of providing professional Architectural/Engineering services for Capital Project 10895 “District Wide High Tech Security Upgrades”, to Fuller & D’Angelo P.C., for $77,700.00 increasing the contract total to $307,372.00 with no change to the term. |
