Rationale:
|
This is to purchase two (2) 2024 Toyota RAV4 AWD Electric Plug-in vehicles to replace vehicles that are beyond their useful life. This follows the City of Yonkers policy to increase the number of low CO2 emission vehicles.
This is a direct replacement for current aged vehicles and will be a one to one swap with an older vehicle that is beyond its useful life. There is no increase in the number of vehicles in the fleet.
Purchase will be funded from the Equipment Capital Bond sold in February 2021. The item listed above is to be procured through the Westchester County Contract RFB-WC-23308 for $89,920.00 and is to be completed within 365 days. |

|
Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: The School Facilities Management Department needs two (2) new replacement fleet vehicles, and
WHEREAS: Vehicles currently used for daily operations throughout the District that are no longer economically serviceable, and have outlived their useful life, will be taken out of service and auctioned to the public, and
WHEREAS: Two (2) such vehicles are available for purchase in accordance with General Municipal Law by using Westchester County Contract RFB-WC-23308 for $89,920.00 and a term of 365 calendar days.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to purchase two (2) 2024 Toyota RAV4 AWD Electric Plug-in Hybrid vehicles available through Westchester County Contract RFB-WC-23308 for $89,920.00 and is to be completed within 365 days. |
