Rationale:
|
From time-to-time all flooring surfaces need to be replaced. The existing flooring in the weight training room at Charles E. Gorton High School has exceeded its useful life.
This is to award a general fund contract to Milburn Flooring to furnish and install flooring materials via New York State OGS Contract PC69410 Mohawk Carpet Distribution, Inc., Group 20600, Award 23200 “Floor Coverings & Related Services” in the amount of $17,280.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
This resolution authorizes the District to issue the subject purchase order for Milburn Flooring to supply and install:
• LR-08 Interlocking Black Rubber Floor Tiles
• LR-53 Floor Prep |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: The Yonkers Board of Education requires that all existing flooring surfaces be maintained and improved, free of any and all trip hazards, and
WHEREAS: Yonkers Public Schools in its process of maintaining and improving flooring surfaces throughout the District will purchase flooring materials, as needed, and
WHEREAS: at Charles E. Gorton High School, Milburn Flooring will supply and install LR-08 Interlocking Black Rubber Floor Tiles in the weight training room.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into a contract with Milburn Sales Co., Inc. (dba: Milburn Flooring), 20 35th Street, Copiague, NY 11726, via New York State OGS Contract PC69410 Mohawk Carpet Distribution, Inc., Group 20600, Award 23200 “Floor Coverings & Related Services” for an amount not to exceed $17,280.00 for a term of 365 calendar days. |
