Rationale:
|
By Board Resolution Item 19.8 dated October 19, 2022, BID 6823A “Maintenance and Repair of Gym Equipment”, was awarded to Nickerson NY, LLC, in the amount of $198,440.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
This is an annual service contract, with the provision for renewal up to two additional years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions.
This resolution is to invoke the renewal clause for FY 2023-24, for annual service Contract 2023-0394 (1 of 2 possible extensions), extending the contract term to 730 calendar days and increasing the contract amount to $396,880.00
This is a general fund annual service contract for the preventive maintenance and repairs of the bleacher systems, movable partitions, backboard systems, safety checks and repair of movable and fixed backboards throughout the District. There are also provisions for performing owner directed additional work on a requirements basis at contract unit prices. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Board Resolution Item 19.8 dated October 19, 2022, BID 6823A “Maintenance and Repair of Gym Equipment”, was awarded to Nickerson NY, LLC, in the amount of $198,440.00 for a term of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: Bid specifications provide for annual extensions, by mutual consent of both parties, under the same terms and conditions of the original contract for up to two additional years, and
WHEREAS: The administration recommends that the District invoke this renewal clause and extend annual service Contract 2023-0394 for another 365 calendar days, increasing the contract amount to $396,880.00 (1 of 2 extensions).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to extend annual service Contract 2023-0394 for “Maintenance and Repair of Gym Equipment”, to Nickerson NY, LLC, 11 Moffitt Boulevard, Bay Shore, NY 11706, increasing the contract amount to $396,880.00 and the term to 730 calendar days. |
