Scope: General Construction contract work for CIP 10876 “ERU Roof Modifications” at Family School 32. Work includes installing roof curbs and cutting roof penetrations into the roof deck for four (4) Energy Recovery Units, six (6) Roof Intake Air Vents, and one (1) Roof Exhaust Fan. This work is required to be performed for the “Part 1 – HVAC Upgrades” project and was issued for bid in lieu of issuing a contract change order to the general construction contract.
Overview:
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on December 13, 2024. Only one bid was received. The bid was duly examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Milcon Construction Corp. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The work was designed by Fuller & D’Angelo Architects & Planners, P.C. and was estimated to be $91,000.00. |

|
WHEREAS bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on December 13, 2024 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. IFB-7356 General Construction Work for the “ERU Roof Modifications” at Family School 32, Project No. 10876, and
WHEREAS the only bid received was duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Milcon Construction Corp, Inc., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $95,800.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award Bid No. IFB-7356 General Construction Work, for Project No. 10876 “ERU Roof Modifications” at Family School 32 to Milcon Construction Corp, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $95,800.00 for a term of 180 calendar days. |
