AMENDMENT 4 CHANGE ORDER 3 TO CONTRACT 2019-‘0570 “Repair Clocks, Intercoms, and PA Systems” with Symbrant Technologies increasing the contract by $25,278.00 to $344,761.20 and no change to the term.
This resolution is to authorize the replacement of the failed clock system in Saunders High. The proposed price is a good faith estimate. Actual cost to be determined by time and materials cost per the contract. |

Resolution
|
Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids were publicly solicited and opened August 31, 2018 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for bid no 6313 “Repair Clocks, Intercoms, and PA systems”, and
WHEREAS: Board Item 18.9, dated Nov. 20, 2018 was approved awarding a contract to Symbrant Technologies 16 Commerce Drive, Farmingdale NY 11735 in the amount of $89,000.00 for a term of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: funding for additional work in the amount of $9,000.00 was provided under Change Order 1 in the first amendment Res 18.12 on Dec. 18, 2019 revising the contract amount to $98,000.00, and
WHEREAS: bid specifications provide for annual extensions by the mutual consent of both parties under the same terms and conditions of the original contract for up to two years, and
WHEREAS: such provisions were invoked to extend the contract for one year under the second amendment via Res 16.4 on November 20, 2019 revising the contract amount to 187,00.00 and extending the term to 730 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: by Resolution 17.3 dated December 16, 2020 the Board authorized a third amendment
increasing the contract amount by $50,000 in capital funds for Change Order 2 and $89,000 for the second 1 year extension for a revised contract amount of $319,483.20 increasing the term to 1,095 calendar days.
WHEREAS: the Administration recommends a fourth amendment to provide for Change Order3 to replace the failed clock system at Saunders High School in the amount of $25,278.00 increasing the contract to $344,761.20 with no change in term.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to amend contract 2019-‘0570 “Repair Clocks, Intercoms, and PA systems” with Symbrant Technologies to a revised contract amount $344,761.20 and the term remains at 1,095 calendar days. |
