hand2mind, Inc.

Amount: $2005.94
Scope: The purchase of additional mathematics manipulative kits aligned with iReady Classroom Math curriculum to support students in grades 6 through 8 two schools. This is to assist in providing hands-on-math experience to build conceptual understanding of mathematics content in middle school math classrooms.

Resolution
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend the contract #2023-27 from Resolution 19.5 BOE meeting of 5/18/22 (original amount of $44089.93) BOCS approved on 5/26/22 with hand2mind, Inc. to the amount of $46095.87; an increase of $2005.94 to purchase additional mathematic manipulative kits aligned with iReady Classroom Math curriculum to support Mathematics instruction in grades 6-8 for the 2022-2023 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with hand2mind, Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend the contract from Resolution 19.5 with hand2mind, Inc. to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with hand2mind, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $46095.87. The contract will be increasing by $2005.94

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
