Rationale:
|
By Board Resolution Item 18.5 dated July 21, 2021, Contract 2022-0188, “On-Call” Electrical Repair Services, was awarded to Scotty Electric Corp. for $97,070.00 and 365 calendar days. It is noted that the City of Yonkers has increased the contract $16,989.40 using City funds. The revised contract amount is now $114,059.40.
The terms and conditions provide for annual renewal for up to five years by mutual consent of the parties under the same terms and conditions as originally awarded.
This resolution is to invoke the renewal clause, extend the contract term to 730 calendar days and funding for another year. The revised contract amount including the City funding will be $211,129.40.
This is a general fund annual service contract for electrical work that is beyond in-house capabilities.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: by Board Resolution Item 18.5, dated July 21, 2021, Contract 2022-0188, “On-Call” Electrical Repair Services, was awarded to Scotty Electric Corp., for $97,070.00 and 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: the City of Yonkers increased this contract amount using their funds adding $16,989.40 increasing the contract amount to $114,059.40, and
WHEREAS: bid specifications provide for annual extensions by the mutual consent of both parties, under the same terms and conditions of the original contract, for up to five years, and
WHEREAS; the administration recommends that the District invoke this renewal clause and renew the contract for another 365 calendar days and $97,070.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to extend Contract 2022-0188, “On-Call” Electrical Repair Services, with Scotty Electric Corp., 22 Hollis Terrace South, Yonkers, NY 10701 increasing the term to 730 calendar days and amount to $211,129.40
