Scope: General Construction Contract for the Kitchen Upgrades at PEARLS Hawthorne School which includes the replacement of the school’s kitchen walk-in freezer & cooler and construction of a new kitchen storage closet.

Overview:
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on December 13, 2023. Four (4) bids were received, examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Peter A. Camilli & Son’s Construction, LTD., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The work was designed by Fuller & D’Angelo Architects who estimated the value of the work at $200,000. The highest bid was $367,500.

Resolution: WHEREAS Bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on December 13, 2023 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. 7064 General Construction Contract for the “Kitchen Upgrades” at PEARLS Hawthorne School Project No. 10934, and

WHEREAS Such bids were duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Peter A. Camilli & Son’s Construction, LTD., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $198,050.00.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award Bid No. 7064 General Construction Contract for Project No. 10934 “Kitchen Upgrades” at PEARLS Hawthorne School to Peter A. Camilli & Son’s Construction, LTD in an amount not to exceed $198,050.00 for a term of 300 calendar days.
