Rationale:
|
Assignment of Capital Fund “On-Call” Environmental Project Monitoring Services for Yonkers Public Schools 2022/2023 Capital Projects 10878 and 10909 to Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc. under Contract No. 2022-0000815 in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00.
Adelaide will be providing environmental project monitoring services, sampling testing and oversight of the asbestos and abatement work for CIP 10878 and 10909.
Projects being covered:
CIP10878 “Phase I of Roof, Doors, Boiler Systems Replacement and Site Upgrades” at School 29 for the amount of $50,000.
CIP 10909 “New Elevator and Interior Improvements” at Gorton High School for the amount of $50,000.
The construction schedules vary. Adelaide will start in July of 2022 and go through spring 2023.
This RFP was only issued to Adelaide due the Consultant’s history, knowledge of the school and competitive rates already proposed under their Contract issued for RFQ-460.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: under Resolution 18.16 at the stated meeting on May 18, 2022, the Board of Education authorized the award of an “On-Call” Environmental Consulting Services contract to Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc. in response to District RFQ460 for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and
WHEREAS: environmental monitoring and consultation is required for two specific capital projects:
CIP10878 “Phase I of Roof, Doors, Boiler Systems Replacement and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29.
CIP 10909 “New Elevator and Interior Improvements” at Charles E. Gorton High School.
WHEREAS: the response by Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc., to a request for proposal to provide such services was acceptable at an upset cost of $50,000.00 per project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to assign Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc., 1511 Route 22, Suite C24, Brewster, NY 10509, to the task of providing “On-Call” Environmental Project Monitoring Services for 2022/2023 Capital Projects 10878 and 10909 at a cost not to exceed $100,000.00.
