Rationale: The North Star Project
Term: December 2021- August 2022
Amount: $115,641.00
Scope: This is an amendment to resolution 18.6 The North Star Project , LLC(BOE approved 12/15/2021 & BOCS approved 12/23/2021) CONTRACT 2022-00000730. This amendment is to increase the original amount of $80,641.00 to reflect an increase of $35,000.00 for a total of $115,641.00. This increase is for The North Star project to provide services for the Elementary Summer School Program. The services provided will be Hostos Summer S.I.F.E. Inclusion Residency: Be The Light and Arts and Literacy Professional Development Session Series for Summer school students and Staff

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with The North Star Project to purchase consulting services to implement programming in service to the Yonkers Public Schools. This programming will focus on activating engagement and agency in participants through expressive arts and literacy modalities for the 2021-2022 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with The North Star Project a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with The North Star Project to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with The North Star Project at a cost not to exceed $115,641.00.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
