Resolution 21.3 Cognitive, LLC- Contract # 2024-00000662 - BOE Approved: 2/28/2024 - BOCS Approved: 3/12/24 Scope: For the provision of two additional professional development workshops by Cognitive, LLC. These workshops will be conducted in a series at the Barack Obama School for Social Justice to roughly 30 assistant principals who will be trained in Introduction to Restorative Practices and Restorative Circles to support the school district goals of enhancing school culture, focus on preventing harm and supporting healing and accountability instead of punishment.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend the existing contract with Cognitive, LLC. to provide additional consulting services for the provision of two additional professional development workshops to be conducted in a series to roughly 30 assistant principals who will be trained in Introduction to Restorative Practices and Restorative Circles for the 2023 – 2024 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed, in conjunction with Cognitive, LLC., a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend the existing agreement with Cognitive, LLC. to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend the existing agreement with Cognitive, LLC. at an additional cost of $3,600.00, increasing the total amount not to exceed to $21,555.00.
