WHEREAS, a disciplinary proceeding commenced against Employee #304710 upon Notice of Charges dated September 21, 2022, preferred by Dr. Edwin M. Quezada, Superintendent of Schools, pursuant to Education Law § 3020a; and WHEREAS, the Board of Education, at its meeting on September 21, 2022, found probable cause for the Notice of Charges preferred against Employee #304710; and WHEREAS, Employee #304710 was represented by counsel who submitted a response denying the specifications in the Notice of Charges; and WHEREAS, a Stipulation of Settlement has been negotiated between the Superintendent of Schools and Employee #304710, signed and dated by Employee #304710 on January 19, 2023, subject to approval by the Board of Education, which Stipulation of Settlement sets forth the terms of settlement of the Notice of Charges; and WHEREAS, the Board of Education has had an opportunity to review the terms of the Stipulation of Settlement, and finds that the terms are fair, reasonable and appropriate under the circumstances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves the Stipulation of Settlement, signed and dated by Employee #304710 on January 19, 2023, made between the Superintendent of Schools and Employee #304710; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Schools and those under his direction take all steps necessary to effectuate the Stipulation of Settlement, signed and dated by Employee #304710 on January 19, 2023, made between the Superintendent of Schools and Employee #304710.
