|
This resolution is to authorize the rescinding of the Board of Education’s award made on July 15, 2020 to various prospective low bidders to RFB-6514, category 5 line item: 5HR Late Buses, and to reject all bids responsive to Categories #3- (In-District Sick Van -180 days) and (In-District Related Services -170 days), Category #4 (Out -of-District Sick Van - 183 Days and Out-of-District Caravans - Intakes), and Category #5 (late buses) and to authorize the rebidding and/or issuance of a new bid for the aforementioned line items.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Yonkers Board of Education’s July 15, 2020 Award of RFB-6514 Category #5- 5HR Late Buses was contingent upon the lowest responsible bidders complying with Section 112 of the City Code of the City of Yonkers regarding Hack Licenses and all other requirements of
RFB #6514; and WHEREAS, bids in response to RFB-6514 were solicited and opened on June 12, 2020 in compliance with General Municipal Law, and
WHEREAS, upon further review of bid submissions in response to RFB-6514 Categories #5-5 HR Late Buses, the Yonkers Board of Education and its administration have determined that the requirements of RFB-6514 were not met by the apparent low bidder(s) in the above-referenced Category and Line Item(s); and
WHEREAS the Yonkers Board of Education wishes to rescind its July 15, 2020 awards of Categories #5- Late Buses as a result of the School District’s aforementioned examination of all responsive bids; and
WHEREAS the Yonkers Board of Education previously rescinded RFB-6514 Categories #3 (Item No.1: Type A/B Vehicle- Sick Van (20 Passengers/ 1 vehicle)
Item No.2: Type A/B Vehicle- Related Services (20 Passengers/ 12 vehicles)and Category #4 (Line Items Item No.1: 9am- 1pm Type A/B Vehicle- Sick Van (20 passenger/1 vehicle) Item No.2: 9am-1pm- Type III- Caravan- Intakes Line 2/ Item No.2 : 8:30am-2pm- Type III- Caravan- Intakes); and
WHEREAS, the Yonkers Board of Education deems it in the best interests of the School District to reject all bids responsive to the aforementioned line items in Categories 3, 4, and 5 and to authorize the Superintendent and/or his designee(s) to re-advertise and/or issue a new bid for the aforementioned Categories/line items;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the award(s) made to RFB Category #5- 5HR Late Buses are hereby rescinded and that all bids responsive to Categories #3- (In-District Sick Van -180 days) and (In-District Related Services -170 days), Category #4 (Out -of-District Sick Van - 183 Days and Out-of-District Caravans - Intakes), and Category #5 (late buses) are hereby rejected and that authorization is granted for the Superintendent and/or his designee(s) to re-advertise the above-referenced Categories and Line Items to best meet the interests of the School District.
