Amount: $15,000.00
Scope: To provide additional Environmental Consulting Services for CIP 10878, Phase III of “Roof, Doors, Boiler Replacement, and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29.
Overview:
This amendment in the amount of $15,000.00 is to be added to Adelaide’s task for CIP 10878 to cover additional consulting and project monitoring needed for additional asbestos abatement work for CIP 10878, Phase III of “Roof, Doors, Boiler Replacement, and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29. The Phase III asbestos abatement work is required for the removal of the school’s windows and includes abatement of window caulk, glazing and wall flashing materials found to contain asbestos. Phase III is the last phase for CIP 10878. This increases Adelaide’s task for CIP 10878 from $75,000 to $90,000.

Resolution:

WHEREAS via Resolution 20.6 dated June 14, 2022, the Board of Education assigned Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc., the Environmental Project Monitoring Services for CIP 10878, “Phase I of Roof, Doors, Boiler Systems Replacement and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29 and for CIP 10909, “New Elevator and Interior Improvements” at Charles E. Gorton High School, and
WHEREAS via Resolution 19.4 dated June 21, 2023, the Board of Education authorized the first amendment to cover the cost of additional Environmental Project Monitoring Services for “Phase II of Roof, Doors, Boiler Systems Replacement and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29, increasing their task for CIP 10878 from $50,000 to $75,000, and
WHEREAS an amendment is required to include additional Environmental Project Monitoring Services for CIP 10878, “Phase III of Roof, Doors, Boiler Systems Replacement and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29 in the amount of $15,000.00, increasing their task for CIP 10878 from $75,000 to $90,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend the existing assignment to Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc., to provide added Environmental Project Monitoring Services for CIP 10878, “Phase III of Roof, Doors, Boiler Systems Replacement and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29 under Contract No. 2022-0815 to Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc., for $15,000.00, increasing the cost of this task for CIP 10878 from $75,000 to $90,000.
