Stylianou, EdD) Term: 3/21/2024-10/31/2024 Amount: $25,000.00 Scope: This consultant is a Math Education Professor at The City College of New York and will lead two separate professional learning initiatives, both of which target numeracy routines and conceptual understanding in mathematics. She will lead two full day Saturday Academies for teachers in grades K-8 and two after-school PD series for teachers in grades 3-5.

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Despina A. Stylianou, EdD to purchase consulting services to support teachers with tiered numeracy interventions for students in grades K-8 across the district for the 2023-2024 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Despina A. Stylianou, EdD a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Despina A. Stylianou, EdD to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Despina A. Stylianou, EdD at a cost not to exceed $25,000.00. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
