Rationale:
|
This is to confirm the award a Purchase Order as referenced above as per the attached emergency declaration issued by the Superintendent on October 19, 2020. Bids are not required under an emergency declaration. Belfor Property Restoration was selected by the Facilities Department because of their more than satisfactory history with the District. Belfor Property Restoration was retained by School Facilities Management to perform the extensive cleanup of the Boiler room, air supply and all surfaces that were in contact with the spilled fuel oil.

Ladies and Gentlemen; WHEREAS: An Emergency Declaration was issued on October 19, 2020 for Westchester Hills School 29 “Fuel Oil Spill Cleanup”, and WHEREAS: Under this emergency declaration the District solicited emergency services for the prompt recovery work for the fuel oil and related cleanup throughout the school, and WHEREAS: Belfor Property Restoration indicated that they were capable and ready to provide such emergency recovery services, and WHEREAS: the District has a successful history with Belfor Property Restoration, and WHEREAS: Belfor Property Restoration has indicated that the cost to the District of the work is not to exceed $24,239.63, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That a purchase order be issued to Belfor Property Restoration, 75 Virginia Road, North White Plains, NY 10603 to perform the emergency services Fuel Oil Spill cleanup work at the Westchester Hills School 29 for an amount not to exceed $24,239.63 for a term of 180 calendar days.
