Rationale:
|
Emergency purchase of three Hobart meat slicers from Douglas Equipment for use in YPS kitchens. In May and June 2022, two meat slicers stopped working. Repair vendor deemed them obsolete and unsafe due to their original date of manufacture and multiple repairs. Third meat slicer could not be repaired by repair vendor due to needing a repair part that is no longer made by any manufacturer. This meat slicer was deemed obsolete due to its old age.
