Scope: The purpose of this resolution is to provide two versions of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) groups with a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) lens with a focus on addressing the needs of high-risk students struggling in the aftermath of COVID. The Yonkers City School District will identify high-risk students from Cesar E. Chavez School, Casimir Pulaski, School 5, and Enrico Fermi School.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend an existing contract with Westchester Jewish Community Services to provide two versions of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) groups with a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) lens with a focus on addressing the needs of high-risk students struggling in the aftermath of COVID. for the term of June 1, 2024 - October 31, 2024,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Westchester Jewish Community Services a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Westchester Jewish Community Services to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Westchester Jewish Community Services at a cost not to exceed $79,990.00

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
