Rationale:
|
The COVID19 response includes the provision of ventilation and supplemental air cleaning in select locations in the schools such as nurses office and sick person isolation spaces, and smaller areas where close contact may be expected. It has been decided the best action to take is to procure the subject air purifiers under the current Emergency Declaration for “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response” issued by the Superintendent on July 27, 2020 and amended on August 26, October 7 and October 23, 2020.
This is to furnish and deliver procure 350 Intellipure Compact Air Purifiers and wall mounting hardware $143,000.00 for a term of 90 days.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: an Emergency Declaration was issued on July 27, 2020 for “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response” in an the estimated amount of $1,000,000, and
WHEREAS: this Emergency Declaration was amended on August 26, 2020 bringing the total estimated amount to $2,000,000, and
WHEREAS: this Emergency Declaration was amended on October 7, 2020, bringing the total estimated amount to $3,000,000, and
WHEREAS: this Emergency Declaration was amended again on October 23, 2020 bringing the total estimated amount to $5,000,000, and
WHEREAS: it is desirable that select areas (rooms) in the schools be provided with supplemental air cleaning, and
WHEREAS: procurement of these air cleaners is to be made under the said Emergency Declaration, and
WHEREAS; Three hundred fifty (350) units are available for purchase from Intellipure Inc., at an acceptable price of $143,500.00 including expedited shipping.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Purchase Order 2021-00001607 for the procurement of Three hundred fifty (350) air purifying machines be issued to INTELLIPURE Inc., 3420 Maple Avenue, Pulaski New York, 13142 for an amount not to exceed $143,000.00 a term of 90 days.
