Resolution:
|
WHEREAS, the Board of Education finds it necessary to appropriate a portion of the fiscal year 2023-2024 unassigned general fund balance for the purpose of balancing the 2025-2026 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Yonkers City School District Financial Statements at year ended, June 30, 2024, show an unassigned general fund balance of $38,179,639;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to appropriate a portion of the fiscal year 2023-2024 unassigned General Fund balance in an amount not to exceed $24,000,000 to address the budget shortfall.
