Scope: The program allows Roosevelt High School- Early College study students to earn college credit for courses taught at their high school. These college-level courses are accepted for transfer credit at Mercy University and many other colleges, providing valuable preparation for college work and saving time and money toward a college degree.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Mercy University to purchase consulting services to support Roosevelt High School- Early College study students to earn college credit for courses taught at their high school. These college-level courses are accepted for transfer credit at Mercy University and many other colleges, providing valuable preparation for college work and saving time and money toward a college degree for the 2024 – 2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Mercy University a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Mercy University to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Mercy University at a cost not to exceed $22,500.00.
