Rationale:
|
This is to award a general fund annual service contract for RFB-6704 “Truck Repair Service” to Argyle Motor Works, dba H&C Truck Repair, Yonkers NY, in the amount of $85,980.00 for a term of 365 days.
Bids for RFB-6704 were publically advertised, received and opened on November 12, 2021. Only one bid was received and reviewed. This year’s award is $5,950.00 more than last year’s contract due to wage rate increase of repair work that will be required on the trucks.
H&C Truck Repair was the sole bidder, however they have won this contract in the past through competitive bidding and have performed acceptably. Last year’s contract was awarded for $80,030.00 which is fully expended.
This is the annual service contract, with the provision for renewal upto three years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions to repair as needed any and all of the trucks owned by the YPS on a time and materials (T&M) basis.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103 RFB-6704 “Truck Repair Service” was let for bid, opened in public and read aloud on November 12, 2021, and
WHEREAS: One bid was received with Argyle Motor Works, dba H&C Truck Repair., being the responsive and responsible bid of $85,980.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for RFB-6704 “Truck repair services for the Yonkers School District” to Argyle Motor Works, dba H&C Truck Repair, 801 Nepperhan Ave., Yonkers NY 10703 in an amount not to exceed $85,980.00 for a period of 365 calendar days.
