Rationale:
|
This is to authorize the assignment of a Non-CIP Funds purchase order for the task “Access Control and CCTV Installation” at Khalil Gibran School to ITG Larson. This work will be done under COY/BOE joint umbrella Contract 2020-0633 via piggyback onto NYSOGS Group 77201–Award 23150 “Intelligent Facility & Security Systems and Solutions” which expires on August 26, 2024. The scope of work includes but not limited to furnish and install nine (9) access control readers, five (5) electrified locks, seven (7) request to exit motion, fifteen (15) door contacts, seven (7) cameras, programing and training. All new BOE high-tech security systems are compatible and linked with the City security systems having been designed and supplied by ITG Larson.

Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS: The District continues to work to optimize the security in all of its schools, and WHEREAS: The District is in the process of converting its security systems to become fully integrated with the COY systems currently in place, and WHEREAS: ITG Larson has been engaged by the COY and the BOE under joint Contract 2020-0633, via NYSOGS Group 77201 – Award 23150 “Intelligent Facility & Security Systems and Solutions” to provide such services, and WHEREAS: The proposal by ITG Larson to furnish, install and program nine (9) access control readers, five (5) electrified locks, seven (7) request to exit motion, fifteen (15) door contacts and seven (7) cameras under Contract 2020-0633 for an amount not to exceed $54,450.35 is acceptable and consistent with said contract. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to assign a purchase order for the task “Access Control and CCTV Installation” at Khalil Gibran School under Contract 2020-0633 to ITG Larson not to exceed $54,450.35 for a term of 365 calendar days.
