Rationale:
|
Assignment of Capital Fund “On-Call” Environmental Project Monitoring Services for Yonkers Public Schools 2022/2023 Capital Projects 10867, 10869 & 10895 to Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. (E&R) under Contract No. 2022-0000816 in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00.
For subject CIP below E&R will be providing environmental project monitoring services, sampling testing and oversight of the asbestos and abatement work.
Projects being covered:
CIP 10867 “Building Envelope Renovations and Related Work” at School 29 for the amount of $50,000.
CIP10869 “Multiple Building Envelope Renovations and Related Work” at PEARLs Hawthorne School for the amount of $50,000.
CIP 10895 “High-Tech Security Upgrades” at the Cross Hill Academy, Montessori School 27, Roosevelt High School-Early College Studies and Yonkers Middle High Schools for the amount of $50,000.
The construction schedules vary. E&R will start in July of 2022 and go through spring 2023.
This RFP was only issued to E&R due the Consultant’s history, knowledge of the school and competitive rates already proposed under their Contract issued for RFQ-460.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: under Resolution 18.16 at the stated meeting on May 18, 2022, the Board of Education authorized the award of an “On-Call” Environmental Consulting Services contract to Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. in response to District RFQ460 for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and
WHEREAS: environmental monitoring and consultation is required for three specific capital projects:
CIP 10867 “Building Envelope Renovations and Related Work” at School 29.
CIP10869 “Multiple Building Envelope Renovations and Related Work” at PEARLs Hawthorne School
CIP 10895 “High-Tech Security Upgrades” at the Cross Hill Academy School, Montessori School 27, Roosevelt High School–Early College Studies and Yonkers Middle High Schools, and
WHEREAS: the response by Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineers to a request for proposal to provide such services was acceptable at an upset cost of $50,000.00 per project and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to assign Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C., 291 Genesee Street, Utica, NY 13501, to the task of providing “On-Call” Environmental Project Monitoring Services for 2022/2023 Capital Projects 10867, 10869 and 10895 at a cost not to exceed $150,000.00.
