Rationale:
|
This is to award a General Fund Annual Service Contract for “Fence Installation and Repair” to WBE Fence Company, Inc., for $162,430.00 for a term of 365 days.
Bids for RFB 6703 were publically advertised, received and opened on November 12, 2021.
There were three bidders. The next two bids were at $356,546.00 and $813,370.00.
The number of items for bid and the quantities have been increased this year.
WBE Fence Company, Inc., has won this contract in the past through competitive bidding and has performed acceptably. Last year’s contract was initially awarded for $20,000, and change order issued for $18,526. Roughly $160,000.00 was expensed in 2015, 16 and 17. Budget constrains cut this to $49,000.00 in 2018, and $ 20,000.00 for 2020.
This is the annual service contract, with the provision for renewal upto three years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103 bids were duly solicited, opened in public and read aloud on November 12, 2021 for RFB 6703 and,
WHEREAS: 3 bids were received with WBE Fence Company, Inc., being the lowest, responsive and responsible bid of $162,430.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for RFB 6703 “Fence Installation and Repair” to The WBE Fence Company, Inc., 11 Deer Court, Brewster, N.Y. 10509, in the amount of $162,430.00 for a term of 365 days.
