Rationale: The North Star Project
Term: September 2024-August 2025 (no change to term)
Amount: $25,000
Scope: Amendment #2 to Resolution 8.3 (Contract# 2025-00000347-BOE Approved 8/21/24-BOCS Approved 8/27/24) Amendment #1-BOE Approved 10/30/24-BOCS Approved 11/19/24) to increase the contract by $25,000 for a grand total of $123,000. The North Star Project will continue to provide consulting services for different Yonkers Public Schools initiatives in addition to the 2025 Summer School program for Multilingual Learners

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend the contract with The North Star Project to provide consulting services for the Summer Academy for Multilingual Learners for the 2024-2025 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with The North Star Project a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to Amend an agreement with The North Star Project to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to Amend an agreement with The North Star Project an additional cost of $25,000 and at a cost not to exceed $123,000.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
