Scope: Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. (E&R) will be providing the environmental monitoring, sampling testing and oversight of the hazardous material abatement work at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, Lincoln High School, and Paideia School 15 for CIP 10875, 10931 and 10956.

Overview:
To assign E&R under their existing “On-Call” Environmental Consulting Services Contract No. 2022-0816. Services will be performed on time and material basis as per their contract hourly rates and unit prices for environmental testing.

CIP 10875 “Part 2 & 3 of – Heat Plant, Roof Interiors” at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy for the amount of $35,000.00.

CIP 10931 is “Improvements to Gymnasium Complex and Site Upgrades” at Lincoln High School for the amount of $7,500.00.

CIP 10956 “Part 2 of Playground & Building Upgrades” at Paideia School 15 for the amount of $7,500.00.

This RFP was only issued to E&R due to the Consultant’s history, their development of the environmental designs and competitive rates already proposed under their Contract issued for RFQ-460.

Resolution: WHEREAS via Resolution 18.13 dated May 18, 2022, the Board of Education authorized the award of an “On-Call” Environmental Consulting Services Contract No. 2022-0816 to Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. in response to District RFQ460 for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and

WHEREAS environmental monitoring and consultation are required for three specific capital projects:

CIP 10875 “Part 2 & 3 of – Heat Plant, Roof Interiors” at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy

CIP 10931 “Improvements to Gymnasium Complex and Site Upgrades” at Lincoln High School

CIP 10956 “Part 2 of Playground & Building Upgrades” at Paideia School 15

WHEREAS the response by Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. to a request for proposal to provide such services was acceptable at a not to exceed cost of $50,000.00 for CIP 10875, 10931 and 10956.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to assign Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. to the task of providing “On-Call” Environmental Project Monitoring Services for Capital Projects 10875, 10931 and 10956 at a cost not to exceed $50,000.00.
